Manages overall business operations of a specific branch, by planning, organizing, and managing the activities of all employees in that branch. Accountable for leadership, budgeting, profitability, losses, staffing levels, product quality, client services etc. Main Responsibilities - Management of the parts/service team, with the support of HR department (hiring, onboarding, training, development, coaching, compensation, disciplining, termination). - Enhancing current relationships with client groups. - Conducting performance reviews and sets salary increases with all department supervisors. - Managing annual budgeting process, setting realistic revenue and profitability targets - Overseeing all administrative and technical aspects of office. - Develop department strategies to grow business year over year. - Plan shop capacities based on budget. - Identifying new customers, managing existing customers, prospecting, business development and competitive intel. - Develop new sales opportunities using different sales platforms. - Forecast annual sales. - New trailer incoming inspection. - Customer orientation and delivery. - Warranty administration. - General office and system security. - Office supplies and sundries. - Keep current with general yard and shop. - Create a culture of "maintenance and repair is everyone's responsibility". - Develop a monthly, quarterly, annual maintenance schedule. Trucks, Trailer, Loaders etc. Attributes and Skills - Able to assemble a capable and healthy team and develop each supervisor into a Level 3 leader or higher. - Able to hold all reports accountable for Aspen culture and brand. - Able to hold all reports accountable for hitting Scorecard targets, completing Rocks and completing To Dos. - Ability to push your team to perform at a higher level and coach, mentor and support them so they get there. - Set an example of excellence and demand the same from all managers and employees. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. - Good computer skills including advanced skills in MS-Excel and MS-Outlook. - Comfortable with technology, you can troubleshoot basic user issues. - High level of confidentiality. - Set expectations for employees. Dress code, office condition, personal interaction Outgoing personality with unwavering professionalism. - Detail-oriented, pride in 100% accuracy. - Great Teamwork and Collaboration. - Excellent organizational skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience and Education - Previous experience in Heavy Haul industry is an asset. - Typically has a post-secondary education with solid understanding of industry, company and customer requirements as well as 5 years of relevant management experience.
