**Job description**

Paragon Systems Testing is a leading Canadian provider of ISO 17025 accredited composite materials testing services in the civil engineering infrastructure rehabilitation field. With offices in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, we've earned a reputation as a thought leader through our extensive research publications on the evaluation and characterization of pipeline rehabilitation systems.

We are currently seeking to hire a Jr. materials analyst who enjoys collaborating within a talented and energetic team for our Toronto (Concord) laboratory. In this position, you will be involved in materials testing, test specimen preparation and research on a wide variety composite rehabilitation materials. We need a highly motivated materials analyst from a materials science or composites materials engineering background with good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
**Required Skills**:

- Advanced proficiency in English
- Good knowledge of materials science and/or composite materials
- Good knowledge of and materials test methods and test specimen preparation.
- Good mechanical apptitude
- Ability to work in the office, laboratory and shop environments
- Ability to work on multiple long and short-term projects in parallel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Knowledge of basic programming/Matlab will be a plus
- Knowledge of use of machining equipment will be a plus.

**Job Description**:

- Perform materials testing in accordance with specified test procedures.
- Test specimen preparation of plastic and composite materials.
- Work with a team of engineers, technicians and specialists.
- Organize the daily work flow to complete all assigned tasks on time.
- Report preparation.
- Test lab maintenance.
- Research and present topic related to material testing
- Any other tasks assigned by your supervisor

An undergraduate degree or a college specialized diploma in materials science or composites materials engineering is mandatory. To qualify, applicants should meet the minimum requirements listed in the job description.

- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science or CEGEP level Composites Materials Engineering
