Overview / Responsibilities:
In order to support Wood’s growth in Canada, we are currently seeking a **Proposal Coordinator **to join our team. This is a pivotal role that is focused on the production of high-quality proposals that contribute to the organization’s success and growth in the region.

Working with the Canadian Proposal Team, technical leads and senior management, the Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for leading or assisting senior proposal staff with the development and implementation of proposals and other marketing and business development documents in various disciplines (Geotechnical, Environmental, Infrastructure, Civil, Construction) for the Canadian market.

**Please note this role is flexible to work from any Wood office in Canada and will have the flexibility to work from home as well.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for coordinating Wood’s responses to business development opportunities, including initial pursuits of prospects, requests for information, solicitation of interests, pre-qualifications, and requests for proposals. Proposal coordination responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Prepare municipal, federal and smaller strategic proposals and win plans in collaboration with senior management and technical staff
- Provide coordination assistance to senior proposal staff on major proposals and PPP/DB (alternate delivery) pursuits
- Update and maintain directories for local CVs and project sheets and work with the Manager of the Canadian Proposal Centre and the Canadian Business Support Lead on maintaining the Canadian Proposals and Branding SharePoint Site
- Support the Canada Proposal Team by providing template creation, formatting, copyediting and printing support on major submissions
- Function as part of the Canadian Proposal Team, maintaining an awareness of the key opportunities and pursuits across the country
- Initiate debriefing / forensic review of all non-winning major proposals and communicate the “lessons learned”
- Track all proposal activities (using Microsoft CRM) from identification stage through to completion including:

- Ensure proposals are properly scoped, identify missing information and evaluate assumptions, help identify risks, evaluate cost, and ensure text and response match requirements
- Lead proposal strategy meetings to discuss themes, discriminators, solutions, etc
- Develop overall proposal schedule, production schedule, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal development plan, and writing assignments
- Prepare strategic presentations for internal and external use
- Ensure that Wood’s proposals and marketing materials are consistent and professional
- Actively manage and promote the Wood brand

Skills / Qualifications:

- At least 3 years’ experience preparing multidisciplinary pursuits and strategic marketing and business development initiatives, preferably in an engineering or construction environment
- University degree or college diploma in communications, marketing, english, public policy, or business administration is an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of both the western and eastern Canada Consulting Engineering market
- Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) in English, with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated autonomy, with superior organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and CRM skills
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Photoshop and InDesign considered an asset
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, coordination, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to details
- Good understanding and implementation of industry best practices for proposals
- Strong proofreading, editing and business software skills (style, format, grammar, etc.)
- Experience in marketing techniques (layout, graphics, value proposition) preferred
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio
- Experience using Adobe InDesign software for the creation of brochures, project profiles, executive summaries and graphics required for proposals
- Registration with APMP is a plus
- Working knowledge of CRM is a plus
