We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Press Set-Up Operator within our Northfield Metal Products team** **to help support our Work Furniture business. In our Furniture Components business, we design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort, motion, and style in the work and home furniture industry. From surface-critical bent tube assemblies and molded plywood components to chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, our Furniture Components business brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality products. As a Press Set-Up Operator, you will be supporting the operations of the business by setting up and running presses and trouble shoot to meet production requirements. The team you will be working with has a long tenure and values collaboration

**So, what will you be doing as a Press Set-Up Operator?**
- To set-up and run presses within the standard times required for the product being produced
- To comply with all the procedures and workmanship standards relevant to the production of the product, including first and last off, and in-process quality checks
- Start machine, monitor their operations and record operational data as required
- Follows inspection process to comply with customer and company requirements and produces pieces within tolerance
- Maintains focus on productivity and maximizing uptime
- Address problems and make/implement solutions to improve efficiencies, process and product flow, safety and quality
- Work with supervisors and leadhands on day-to-day issues

**To be successful in this role, you’ll need**:

- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to work individually but be a team player
- Strong attendance record
- Attention to detail
- Ability to utilize and interpret inspection gauges and equipment
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to follow priorities, achieve goals and coordinate activities in a timely and cost-effective manner
