**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Technical Supervisor the Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of ophthalmic instruments, parts, and medical supplies to customer locations and distribution centers in Canada.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure inventory count is up-to-date, logging all inventory in a software program, and ensuring that quantities of ophthalmic instruments, parts, and medical supplies are maintained at all times.
- Generate transactions in ERP system and ensure proper transaction execution for all inventory movements.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper physical controls regarding inventory are in place and monitored.
- Control the flow of goods and manage inventory stocking locations.
- Assist the Technical Services team with pre-assembly of equipment.
- Communicate effectively both within and outside the organization focusing on prompt and efficient delivery of products.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments including Sales, Customer Service and Sales Support, Purchasing, and Finance.
- Ensure documentation is complete and processed efficiently based on requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma completed;
- Valid driver's license and have a good driving record;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent ability to work in a team;
- Be able to occasionally lift / move heavy loads
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Attention to detail / thoroughness;
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic knowledge of the customs clearance process;
- Capable of versatility and autonomy;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP systems to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
