**Who are we?**

The Achieve Professional Development Group is a local non-profit that educates and connects entrepreneurs and industry professionals in the Hamilton area. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization.

Achieve provides access to various industries, including entrepreneurship, local business ownership, tradesmanship, not-for-profit leaders and corporate executives. Achieve’s firm belief in collaboration and communication emphasizes the importance of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and networking. We aim to create a community of sharing, learning and growth among entrepreneurs, business owners and industry professionals.

The organization provides the needed resources to work, learn, and grow in a supportive community through networking and professional development workshops and networking events, seminars and conferences.

**What are we looking for?**

Achieve Professional Development Group is looking for a secretary to assist the Board of Directors and our executive team. The executive secretary will contribute to the efficiency of business processes by overseeing all assigned administrative duties. Responsibilities will include maintaining the Board’s meetings, schedule, and other administrative tasks.

**Secretary duties include**:

- Attending all Board meetings (12 per year)
- Record keeping and documentation
- Correspondence and communication
- Managing the board’s schedule, sending invites, setting up online links and distributing meeting materials.
- Acting as a point of contact for online inquiries sent to the general mailbox.
- Creating memos and reports as needed.
- Requirements and Skill Qualifications
- Able to navigate online platforms such as Google Drive, Zoom, Wix and Square
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven admin and/or assistant experience
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Multitasking
- Strong knowledge of databases and tracking systems.
- Performing accurate research and analysis

**Job Type**: Casual

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hamilton, ON L8P 4Y5
