We are hiring a **Critical Control Point Operator (e**ntry-level QA) **to support the QA department of our FreshPoint FreshCuts **produce processing facility in Richmond** (3500 Viking Way).

Please note that our Richmond location is in a refrigerated environment (around 5 degrees Celsius).

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and document production line CCPs hourly
- Coach employees on GMP and ensure CCPs conform to the criteria
- Monitor and test the wash water concentration, pH, wash tank temp, product temp, product quality and metal detector verification
- Assist in investigating product quality, foreign matter
- ASAP units monitoring and troubleshooting
- Produce quality checks on the floor and reporting poor quality issues to QA/QC technicians for further assessments
- Verify scale on regular basis
- Assist with monitoring employees for GMP compliance and GMP inspection
- Follow customers' requirements and policies

**Availability Required**:

- Full time, 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift (mainly Sundays)
- Flexibility with working different shifts which rotate every couple of weeks is required; shifts run from 7am-8pm and are 8.5 hours in duration with 1 hour break
- Ability to work on statutory holidays and overtime

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- Education in a related discipline is a great asset (e.g. food science, food safety, microbiology)
- Knowledge & experience with HACCP, SOP’s, SSOP’s, GMP’s, GFSI (SQF/BRC) is an asset
- Experience working in a food production role or environment is an asset
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0-5 degrees Celsius) for long periods of time
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Occasionally required to lift up to 35 lbs
