Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a full time Sales Representative based in our downtown Calgary office. This position will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting our products and services. You will play a key role in expanding Colter Energy's presence in the market, working closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients.
**Responsibilities will include**:New Business Development**:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy sector.
- Prospect potential clients, engage in cold calling, and follow up on leads to generate sales.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs.
**Client Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Understand clients' energy needs and provide tailored solutions to address their challenges.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Field Visits to customer sites will be required periodically
**Sales Presentations & Negotiations**:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate product delivery and service fulfillment.
**Sales Targets & Reporting**:
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Track and report sales activities and results in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Prepare regular sales reports for management to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
**Collaboration & Teamwork**:
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and goals.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of the energy industry, including key products, services, and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safety training for access to client sites will be required, including First Aid, H2S Alive and Common Safety Orientation training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the energy or industrial sectors.
