**Job Overview**:
Join our team at Cornwall Animal Hospital in Oakville as a Veterinary Technician where you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. We are looking for a compassionate individual with a strong dedication to animal health and well-being.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Educate pet owners on proper care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary software systems
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic including exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
- Assist with client communication and provide exceptional customer service
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures is a plus
