We are looking for an **Accounting Associate** (Part-Time) to join our growing team. This position will report to Accounting Manager.
- Please note that this is a temporary part-time position to start with, but the Company is ready to extend the contract and offer full-time opportunities for the top talent_

- Maintain books of accounts, reconcile bank transactions, complete deposits, or issue cheques
- AP and AR work, communicate with customers or suppliers
- Prepare financial statements and assist with audit
- Assis fulfilling taxation and various compliance requirements, for example, GST/HST, PST, Income Tax filing, and MSB reports preparing
- Assist accounting tasks related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies
- Assist accounting manager and director with any ad hoc accounting projects

**Qualification**:

- 1-2 year experience in accounting work
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Complete Intermediate Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting courses
- Have an interest in the blockchain field and are willing to learn and understand the new market and technology
- Strong in Microsoft Word, and Excel; working knowledge of Sage 50 is an asset
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Be an excellent team member

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Richmond, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
