**Position Summary**:
The HR Business Partner reports to Senior Director, People and Culture and is responsible for providing strong thought leadership, support and customer service to their client groups while supporting the National Human Resources Strategies. This professional leads by example and personifies the Sofina Foods Business Philosophy of Integrity, Respect, and Accountability.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manage employee relations matters (people first, leadership, accountability, etc.);
- Partner with the business with demonstrated leadership and coaching to functional leaders and provide guidance on organizational movement, structures, compensation talent management and progression;
- Recommend and provide coaching, direction and training to our salaried teams including but not limited to Performance Management, (People Days) conflict resolution, progressive discipline & termination processes and liaise with Wellness & Abilities;
- Standardize Employee relations and total compensation programs in coordination with the Total Rewards team, organizational development and employment standards (federal & provincial);
- Coordinate and facilitate recruitment and selection of new hires in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team;
- Participate in functional meetings to better understand organizational strategy and business priorities;
- Leverage HR Analytics reporting on hiring, turnover, employee status change and etc;
- Combine extensive technical expertise and relationship building strengths to help drive the implementation of Talent Processes and Human Relations strategy;
- Identify, initiate and/or support improvements that will effectively impact the business and improve bottom-line results in our operations;

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in Business or Human Relations, combined with related experience
- 5+ years core generalist human relations experience is required, 3+ years in a Leadership or Management role preferred.
- Role model and advocate for our Business Philosophy
- Student of and Expert in the knowledge of HR trends, practices, and legislation
- Knowledge of Dayforce preferred
- Experience with implementation and use of HCM, LMS, Performance Management suites essential
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project are also required
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to handle multiple priority projects essential
- Strong time management/organizational skills essential.
- Facilitation, problem solving and teamwork skills necessary.
