Fleming College Toronto (FCT) is seeking a **Career Services Coordinator** who is passionate about working with students and graduates in their career development. The Career Services Coordinator will have proven experience in a post-secondary setting, with a good understanding of career development for international students. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the career services staff in the planning and implementation of engaging activities with a focus on supporting development, progression, and developing student employability skills
Under the supervision of the Career Services Manager, the Career Services Coordinator is responsible for building meaningful connections with students and employers, providing programs and support to students in their career journey, and working collaboratively with internal and external partners to meet departmental goals and objectives.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide outstanding customer service, and communicate directly with students, alumni, employers, and staff.
- Provide individual career counselling and advising to students and alumni, offering guidance on career explication, job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation and networking techniques.
- Support students in identifying internships, job opportunities, and other career-related experiences.
- Collaborate with the Career Services Manager to develop and execute career development workshops, seminars and networking events.
- Coordinate career fairs, employer information sessions, and on-campus recruiting activities.
- Conduct research on industry trends, job market demands, and employer needs to inform the development of relevant career resources and programs for students.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of an online job board and career services database.
- Maintain accurate records of students interactions, attendance and employment outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned relating to career services.
**Position Requirements**
**Education and Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a post-secondary education setting with students.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working directly in career services or career development industries.
- Previous experience in career counselling, student advising, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, and employment trends
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem solver with a solution-orientated approach
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
