This team supports community care teams surrounding children in care to develop progressive interventions and strategies from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens. This includes working collaboratively with other MCFD teams, including guardianship, family services, resources and adoptions, to build capacity, helping to reduce barriers to communication and improving support for children and youth (0-18). Working in the North Fraser area we also support a large Indigenous population. Each member of the team brings a unique clinical perspective to the work in trauma-informed care, supporting children, youth, and families to prevent placement breakdowns, improve child and youth mental health, and strengthen care teams. **The Role** As an Integrated Practice Clinician, you will support the systems and people that protect vulnerable children and youth. You will build care teams and provide consultation, specialized education, and training to build the care team’s capacity to support these individuals. By enhancing the community's capacity to support these individuals, this role creates a more inclusive and understanding environment for those affected by complex developmental trauma. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with diverse professionals, contribute to meaningful change, and develop creative interventions that make a lasting difference in the lives of clients and their support networks. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience** - NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. - Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. - Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province). **Preference may be given to applicants with the following**: - Two years or more experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. - Experience in providing direct interventions around the trauma-based behaviours of children and youth. - Completed formal post-graduate trauma training focusing on neurodevelopment, and attachment such as: Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (Child Trauma Academy), Completion of the CCI (Complex Care Intervention) Certification Program, and/or the Complex Trauma Certificate (JIBC). - Completed training in infant mental health and parent-child relational interventions and assessment tools such as: Watch, Wait and Wonder, The Circle of Security, and the AMBIANCE-Brief measure. - Demonstrated experience facilitating presentations on trauma informed material to social workers, caregivers, educators, and other professionals involved in the care and treatment of complex children and youth. - Experience providing a variety of outreach and community-based work-related activities. - Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
