**Title**: Community Relations Representative
**Salary**: $64,972 - $81,215 - $89,337 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 37.5 hours a week 8am-4pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
**Location**: Metro Vancouver office - Alberni office, on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. (Hybrid - minimum 50% in the office).

**About the role**
As a Community Relations Representative you will be responsible for communications and collaboration on behalf of Health Benefits to First Nations communities. As part of the Health Benefits Team, the Representative directly implements the engagement communication plans at the community level. As a liaison between Health Benefits and our community members, the Community Relations Representative proactively identifies recommendations for joint solutions that will be beneficial to all stakeholders.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
**Education and Experience**
- A university degree with specialization in Health Sciences, Education or Social Services or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
- Relevant, recent and significant experience in the provision of coordination support to First Nation communities (usually acquired over a 3-5 year period).

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Knowledge and experience with the community engagement process.
- Knowledge of health-related issues and those affecting First Nations communities in particular.
- Knowledge of the BC First Nations political and governance landscape from the federal, provincial and regional context.

**Condition of Employment**
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.

**Working Conditions**
- Community Relations Representatives are co-located in the regions with Regional Teams and communities
- The work requires unplanned overtime and attendance at meetings after hours

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
