Gabby’s was founded in 1988 by a local Toronto based family. We opened our first location in March of 1989, the whole family worked long hours to make things work. The concept was simply to create a cozy environment that was well suited to have great conversations, served quality freshly cooked meals and offered great draft beer and spirit selections. After more than three decades of fine-tuning, product development, and loads of hard work, we have what you see today. We serve over 40,000 people a week in our 12 Toronto locations.

Today, we are defined as a mainstream casual dining restaurant with an integrated sports bar area that caters to the community and local businesses. We provide friendly, attentive service in a relaxed environment and prepare everything fresh on site.

Over the years our menu has changed to reflect today’s consumers. From a once beer and wing joint to our current menu of over 50+ items including our hand-dipped to order authentic beer-battered fish & chips, premium brisket burgers, made to order Chicken tenders, fresh-cut Ontario source potatoes for our fries, a great selection of entrée salads and more than 20 vegetarian options.

We just opened a new location at Square One in Mississauga and expanding our team and looking for a great Line Cook Do you have what it takes?

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of Kitchen Experience
- The ability to lead
- Can focus under pressure
- Possess a guest first Mentality
- Works well as part of a team or alone
- Quality and cleanliness are top of mind

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Cooks are to ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with Gabby's recipes and assembly manuals and charts.
- Ensure that all products received via delivery meet specification, that the invoicing is correct in respect to quantity and quality as the Chef requires.
- Prep Cook & Line Cooks are to prepare and follow a daily prep sheet to indicate levels on hand and amounts required.
- Clean and organize the kitchen at all times. Follow all required checklists and cleaning schedules during and following his/her shift.
- Assure the proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment; identify equipment needs for food preparation and service.
- Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation of food products.
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant.
- The **Line cook** reports to the **Kitchen** Manager.

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
