Supervisor - Total Rewards

**Job Description**:
The Supervisor, Total Rewards leads the payroll function, including payroll processing and payroll accounting, and provides oversight and support of compensation and benefits administration, in an effort to ensure timely and efficient processes and top-level customer service to Honda Canada’s associates and affiliated entities.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Brings experience in payroll, and administration of compensation, pension and benefits programs.
- Builds strong working partnerships with other HR team members, company finance and accounting professionals, and business stakeholders.
- Oversees bi-weekly payroll and benefits administration activities including payroll processing, audit, and remittances, and ensures that such activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversees annual tax statement preparation.
- Acts as a back-up to key payroll, payroll accounting, and compensation and benefits associates.
- Present information in a polished, succinct and logical manner and present to department and divisional leadership with confidence, impact and influence.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Seasoned payroll and benefits professional with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Accredited payroll, HR, Accounting and/or Pension & Benefit designation (e.g. CHRL, CHRM, CHRP, CPA, CEBS, CPM, PCP) preferred.
- Expertise working in MS Excel; Experience with Workday HR Information System is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage numerous competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and strategically identify risk.
- Flexible and adapts well to change.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of integrity.
- Active listener; understands the concerns or questions that arise from a discussion or presentation.
- Is self-motivated, self-disciplined, energetic, and highly results oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities, shifting demands and workflow. Is collaborative and a team player who is able to handle both small and large matters with equal effectiveness and enthusiasm.
- Fluency in French would be considered an asset.
