Sales Representative

Pastaggio is an artisan fresh pasta & premium catering company based out Vancouver, committed to producing high-quality, handcrafted pasta with high quality ingredients and locally whenever possible. We are passionate about sharing our love for pasta with the community and are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as:
Part-Time Farmer’s Market & Events Sales Representative.

*A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, AS DRIVING IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pack & load products into event vehicles safetly & in accordance with FoodSafe regulations and maintain a clean and organized transport vehicle.
- Drive to your scheduled location, checking in with event organizers and managers.
- Set up and take down the sales booth, including tents, tables, and product displays, ensuring a welcoming, clean and organized environment.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information about our products and encouraging sales.
- Handle payments, credit card & debit transactions, maintaining a secure and organized cash out.
- Manage inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and presentation of products.
- Keep the sales area clean and organized throughout the market day.
- Build and maintain positive customer & vendor relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Assist with any additional tasks as needed to support market operations.

**Days & locations**:

- Saturday mornings 7am-3pm or 4pm Vancouver area
- Sunday mornings 7am-3pm or 4pm Vancouver area, White Rock, or Ladner
- *Travel time 30-75 minutes (paid), 1 hour set up, 30-45 minutes tear down (paid)._

*_Farmer’s Markets shifts are approximately 8-10 hours inclusive of travel, set up & tear down._

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in retail, food sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Comfortable setting up tents and market displays independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for food and knowledge of pasta and cooking is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, weekends, early mornings.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the kitchen, event vehicles will be provided but you are more than welcome to use your own vehicle if large enough, we will cover gas and time on road.
- Punctual, reliable
- Has a phone with data to use for the Square Point of Sales (POS) System
- Can stand for long periods of time (5-6 hours at a time)
- Able to lift up to 20kg, crouch, bend
- REQUIRED: A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
- Required: Food Safe certificate

More shifts could be available should you want more hours.

Seasonal work from April - September / perfect job for students
Hours: 20 - 30 hours per week

**Salary**: $18.50- $21 per hour
- Casual, yet professional dress

Schedule:

- Morning shift
- Day shift
- Weekends - Weekend availability is a must

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Must be able to reliably commute to work, Vancouver V5L 2A8 and to Farmer's market locations in Vancouver, Squamish & the Lower Mainland.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
- Food Safe Certification

**Experience**:

- Customer service experience required.
- Restaurant experience FOH of BOH preferred
