'ImagineAbility Inc. is a non-profit agency supporting adults living with intellectual disabilities. We are currently seeking a Direct Support Professional through leisure, social, and volunteer experiences. We aim to provide the best care and necessary resources for the people we support to discover their potential, enhance their experiences, and expand their knowledge, all aiming to increase the quality of their lives. This position is based out of our William location, 436 William Avenue, but it is required to support people out in the community.

**Overall Responsibility**

A Direct Support Professional is responsible for the ongoing direct support for people accessing ImagineAbility Services. This includes relationship-building, getting to know the person, setting up goals, following up on and documenting peoples’ accomplishments, participating in meetings, being a liaison between care providers and our agency, as well as ensuring peoples’ safety both within and outside of our facilities.

A Direct Support Professional is expected to work independently and collaboratively with other members of the team.

This position requires a driver’s license, a clear Driver’s Abstract, and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.

This position requires a clear Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry check.

Starting wage is $16.50 per hour - $21.00

Reporting duty is to the on-site Support Services Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Disability and Community Support Diploma preferred
- Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities in a day service setting is an asset
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Certificate Nonviolence Crisis Intervention
- A good understanding of the Vulnerable Persons Act
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a reliable vehicle and willing to drive with people we support to access the community
