**The Role**

The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of production machines and equipment. This position will ensure machines and equipment are operating at the maximum level during the periods they are scheduled to run and ensure an exceptional quality of the product. This role will work closely with the Shift Lead and Production Manager.

**What You Will Do**
- Operate the general can line equipment and ensure specified requirements are being met
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment
- Inspect and test quality of the product in the lines
- Assist with adjusting of machines and perform calibration checks
- Understand procedures, instructions, and reports
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of all required reports relating to production and machine performance
- Monitor the rejected product
- Report occurrences of product non-conformity to the Quality Control assigned to the line
- Communicate to the Shift Lead and Production Manager any machine problems or production challenges that may affect the target output units
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Maintain daily housekeeping ensuring working area is kept safe and clear of excess debris
- Understand and follow safety regulations and adhere to company safety policies
- Responsible for notifying Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained

**Knowledge & Qualifications**

Secondary School Graduate or equivalent

One or more years of experience with industrial equipment from manufacturing environments

Proficient with hand tools

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Mus be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English a plus

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
