**IT Support Technician (Part-Time) Wanted**

We are currently seeking a **Part-Time IT Support Technician** to work on location at our Burnaby head office adjacent the Gilmore Skytrain station. This position requires working at our office 20 hours/week during the business week from Monday to Friday (5 days/week). Occasional work outside of regular business hours from home or at the office may be necessary for maintenance outages or urgent matters.

**Responsibilities**
- First point of contact for users
- Onboarding new users to Office 365 and our VOIP phone system (set up or disable accounts)
- Assisting users over the phone, in person and remotely using Team Viewer
- Installing and provisioning new PCs, laptops, peripherals, UPS, monitor stands/sit-to-stand stations, software and related networking as required
- Installing VPN/Remote Desktop client on employee-owned devices remotely and in person
- Complete IT maintenance tasks including decommissioning old devices
- Monitor system alerts & address or escalate to the IT Manager as required (firewall, AV, backup status)
- Maintain equipment inventory and other records
- Renew software subscriptions as required
- Complete routine updates to software as required
- Complete IT related projects guided by the IT Manager and/or the Managing Director
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Must have 1-2 years of experience providing IT Support functions in a business environment
- Some formal training in Information Technology (certificate(s), diploma **OR** degree completion)
- Good knowledge of multiple operating systems ( Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2012 or newer, Mac OS)
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, Active Directory permissions, and group policies
- Comfort with windows operating environments (Windows Server/Active Directory and OS)
- Knowledge of networking and switches
- Resourceful team member who can research solutions when faced with a new problem with awareness of when to seek assistance from the senior IT consultant.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
**Desirable Skills and Knowledge**
- Certification in one or more of MCSE/MCITP, CompTIA Network+ / Security+ / Server+, CCNA
- Experience with VOIP system administration (3cx is a strong asset)
- Experience with back up systems management (Veeam is a strong asset)
- Experience with AntiVirus Management (Trend Micro is a strong asset)
