Linehaul Dispatcher

Coordinate linehaul traffic for Overland West Freight Lines

**Responsibilities**:

- Along with members of the team - establish, modity and execute nightly dispatch plan
- Update trip sheets & records in the dispatch system ensuring the accuracy of miles paid and log hours
- Day to day communication, via phone and ELD, with drivers to ensure proper load instructions are passed along and carried out
- Comminicate with cartage to ensure they meet inbound cut times
- Manage breakdown situations and follow up with maintenance to ensure that freight is moved through to destination as quickly as possible
- Monitor all outbound cut-off times to protect service
- Monitor linehaul driver performance
- Enlish and coordinate third party carriers to move overflow loads in a cost efficient manner
- Track linehaul driver vacation schedules and keep information current

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years dispatch experience
