**Ava Hi Seas Ship Suppliers Ltd.** is recruiting for a Office Clerk / Purchasing Assistant at our Burnaby location.

**Job Duties**:

- Providing office and warehouse support to ensure efficient business operations.
- Accurately preparing quotations, invoices and orders for customer.
- Maintaining files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
- Answering the phone to take messages or redirecting calls to appropriate colleagues
- Completing office and inventory management procedures.
- Undertake basic bookkeeping
- Assist with warehouse packing duties
- Perform other office duties as assigned

**Skills and Experience**:

- Able to communicate, read and write in English.
- Basic mathematics skills for cost calculations and conversions of imperial and metric measurements.
- Accurate typing and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to learn and process information quickly.
- Possesses independent working habits with effective decision making and multi-tasking skills.
- Be organized and reliable while working in a fast paced environment as part of a team.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license and access to personal vehicle if preferred.
- Prior work experience in similar environments/jobs.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs preferred
- Second language is an asset (Hindi or Tagalog).
- Experience in the marine stores purchasing industry is preferred.

**Shift Timings**:

- 9:00AM to 5:00PM
- Variable and flexible work schedule.
- Must be willing to work weekends and occasionally overtime.

**Job Type**:

- Full-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- 8 hour shift
