Major Events Coordinator - Paladin Security
We are looking for a skilled Event Security Coordinator to organize and oversee security operations at Various Event Sites across Victoria. Security, Event Staff, and Medical personnel will be under your command while you develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain the sites existing high-level security standards. You will have to demonstrate excellent leadership and time management skills. A strong knowledge base of health and safety policies along-with emergency response procedures, customer service, and event security best practices is required.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Responsible for ensuring the Security, Event Staff, and Medical team delivers an excellent customer service environment at events.
- Follow up and solve customer/client concerns and queries as well as make recommendations to improve security policies.
- Supervise the area supervisors and staff assigned to the event and act as a resource for Security issues in accordance with PSG Policy and Procedure. Ensure guidelines and standards for security staff are adhered to.
- Maintain and enforce all Paladin and Client policies and procedures on site and ensure the highest standard of our security program on site. For example, dress and deportment, quality of reports, mentoring, Attitude and Conduct, Phone Use, etc.
- Supervise and assist all officers with responsibilities delegated to them.
- Ensure all reports are completed and each Officer submits complete and accurate incident reports, including use of force reports. Follow up with inaccuracies or omissions. Review all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as required.
- Compile accurate statistics and complete audits.
- Liaise with multiple Client Representatives, while representing Paladin Security with the utmost professionalism.
- Conduct and arrange site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages are completed within the allotted training period. Monitor performance and behavior of officers and document/discipline staff where standards are not being met.
- Draw up and maintain departmental site and training schedule and work with our Event Scheduling Coordinator to ensure that all shifts are covered.
- Lead Events on the ground and arrange for a suitable replacement when you are not available. Ensure all officers meet the training requirements of the site.
- Keep accurate records of staff sign in & out sheets. Ensure these records are updated as quickly as possible after events conclude.
- Keep accurate inventory of all site equipment including uniforms and radios.
- Accept after-hours’ phone calls and will be the site officer’s first point of contact.
- Will arrange coverage for any open shifts due to last minute book offs, medical emergencies, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring all officers have read and signed off on all Paladin Health and Safety and Policy/Procedures documents.
- Ensure all accidents are reported in a timely manner. As well as attend OH&S meetings with Client Management.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations and Risk Assessments.
- Perform other duties as required and/or requested
- Liaise with Client Management and Paladin Management as required.
**QUALIFICATION**:
- 1+ years of supervisory security experience or a combination of relevant experience and education; including successful completion of Paladin Supervisor Training or the willingness to complete said training.
- Applicant will be required to complete PSG Supervisory Training if they have not already done so.
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and solving complex problems.
- Ability to effectively supervise and train staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, including delivering presentations to groups.
- Ability to effectively work with others.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all situations.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, leadership and observation skills.
- Strong Knowledge of Site Orders & Event Security Best Practices.
- Strong Knowledge of Access Control, Fire Control, CCTV, Scheduling Software, and other site related systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Good report writing and note-taking skills.
