Purchasing Analyst Role

The purchasing analyst role is very important in supporting Compugen’s products and services end-to-end delivery model.

The purchasing analyst will be a part of a team of materials management resources that are put in place to develop relationships with vendors/suppliers and provide the best possible cost, product quality, and delivery outcome to our customers.

This role will be a part of the Materials Management department that also includes purchasing, pricing, and planning and several specialist roles that may include customer service, item master, inventory management, warranty, and deal registration.

Compugen segments our purchasing activities
**by vendor** and
**by business practice** this includes hardware, software, advanced solutions, print and service parts.

Our key strategic partners we work with are the following:
**HPi, HPe, Cisco, Lenovo, Dell, Apple, Microsoft, Panasonic.**

This is not limited to the 500+ partners we are authorized to sell their products, have contractual agreements in place, and are eligible to participate in various promotions, volume incentives, and program levels.

The purchasing analyst will need to have a good understanding of broad technology products and our customer verticals including:

- Products such as desktops, notebooks, printers, peripherals, servers, and basic understanding of storage and networking.
- Software
- Cloud Computing, Data Security Protection, and Modern Workspace
- Selling verticals such as Corporate, Government, Education, Energy and Utilizes, Finance, Healthcare, Non-profit, Public Section and Retail.

As the purchasing analyst you will be in contact with our vendors, you will have an important role in helping decrease the lead time from the point of customer order to product delivery. At the same time, you will work to review order margin with a greater overall cost saving.

Purchasing Analyst day to day tasks will include but not limited to:

- Source/buy the right products as per the requirement
- Negotiate with supplier to get the product with the best price
- Purchase order confirmation
- Follow up on buying process and update the buying status (ETAs)
- Invoice accuracy and posting
- Maintain supplier relationships, develop good supply chain, and estimate future buying need
- M1 hold order release
- Pricing file upload and maintenance
- Customer profile maintenance
