**Quality Assurance Tester Co-Op**

The Vancity Quality Assurance team is seeking a Co-op student to join our team as QA Tester. As a member of the QA team, you will learn the functionalities of Banking Applications to design and develop test cases and scripts.

This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you. September - May Co-op.

**The role**:

- Partnering with QA Functional testers, and other QA Automation testers in the team to identify issues early and fix bugs as they arise, improving quality from the outset.
- Designing and executing functional tests in Core Banking System / Applications in a complex integrated test environment.
- Executing automated regression test cases in the CI pipeline, troubleshooting issues, and collating of test results of all assigned test areas.
- Building scripts and tools to implement and continuously improve test automation.
- Identifying opportunities for testing continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient testing.
- Actively contributing to automation framework, and automation test scripts.
- Building your skills in new areas like Azure CI/CD pipeline, Mobile App automation framework, Selenium, BDD Framework, etc.

**You are**:

- Versed and keen with test automation approaches and experiences with common tools.
- Analytical capabilities to evaluate test results.
- Ability to respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test scripts.
- An eye to detail, able to identify risks and issues sooner rather than later and not afraid to call them out.
- Someone with a resilient personality that is comfortable with change and able to overcome setbacks as they occur.
- A continuous and pragmatic problem solver that can act collaboratively to work through issues.
- A self-motivated individual that takes initiative to follow through and deliver results without continuous supervision.

**You have**:

- A goal of achieving an undergraduate degree (usually in Computer Science, Engineering, or highly related field)
- A current GPA of 3.00 or higher
- A desire to learn software automation framework and CI/CD Pipeline.
- Willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities.

**The team**: The QA tester reports directly into the Manager, Quality Assurance.
