Our current operations consist of 4 concrete depots and 3 sand and gravel pits. Our growing fleet of over 40 10-metre concrete delivery trucks gives us the largest capacity in our service area. **The opportunity**

Butler Concrete and Aggregate is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-service-focused individual to fill the role of the Third Batch Person. In this role, you will batch concrete in a consistent manner following strict parameters to ensure our customers receive high-quality concrete on time. We want to continue meeting and exceeding client expectations while adhering to our policies, procedures and best practices.

**The details**

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Batch ready-mix concrete using Command Batch and/or Marcotte software across multiple locations, ensuring proper mixing time for uniform quality
- Monitor batching processes to meet specifications and adjust mix designs, air dosages, and moisture content as needed
- Manage delivery demand and ensure timely batching and delivery of orders
- Review and document concrete mix test results, reporting anomalies to the Concrete Production Manager
- Monitor and manage Cementitious materials and Admix inventories, informing Lead Batch of inventory needs.
- Open and close Keating batching plant, coordinating with other plants for start-ups and shutdowns
- Take direction from Lead Batch Person and Dispatch to optimize fleet logistics and maximize truck utilization
- Collaborate with the Sales Team, Fleet and Equipment Manager, and Production Manager to address customer, batching, truck, and plant issues
- Work closely with Order Desk, Dispatch, and Concrete Batch Support teams to manage batching operations and monitor orders
- Communicate effectively with drivers, gathering feedback on water demand and product quality
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations promptly and accurately to ensure satisfaction
- Conduct proactive outbound calls and provide knowledgeable support about services, products, and delivery methods
- Maintain detailed and accurate communication records and ensure a pleasant customer experience in every interaction
- Maintain high-quality service and technical expertise on batching processes and ready-mix concrete placement
- Provide backup for after-sales support activities and support other functions within the Batch Office as needed
- Track and improve customer service and internal processes to enhance overall efficiency
- Respond to situations causing delivery delays, keeping Dispatch/Order Desk and customers informed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support overall operations

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- Work with Dispatch to provide direction and tasks for the driving staff during downtime
- Monitor safety supply inventory to ensure availability as needed for driving staff
- Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies, as well as coffee, tea, and water replenishment.
- Supervise recycling efforts in the lunchroom, ensuring proper disposal of paper, magazines, cans, and glass bottles.
- Oversee the cleanliness of common areas, including emptying garbage and maintaining hallways and floors between janitorial services.
- Monitor copier functionality and supply levels, coordinating servicing and restocking as needed.

**What you bring**
- Business or Technical Diploma or related field would be a strong asset
- 1-3 years’ experience in Dispatching and/or Customer Service positions
- Understanding of construction methods and materials, including product knowledge, will be an asset
- Proven ability to work with shifting priorities, manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and manage time effectively
- Ability to skillfully manoeuvre tough situations without damaging relationships
- Outstanding phone etiquette
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interp
