Part-time Laundry Aide

Scarborough, Canada Extendicare Full time

This position is Part-time on every Tuesday and Every other weekend from 7 AM to 3 PM.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Collects/receives laundry and performs cleaning and drying as per established protocol.
- Prepares laundry for distribution
- Observes operation of machines and reports malfunctions to the Supervisor
- Assists in maintaining laundry facilities, equipment and supplies
- Advises Supervisor of inventory levels of chemicals and linen shortages
- Adheres to established department policies, and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire safety, environment, and infection control.

**What you bring**
- Frequent standing, walking, squatting, reaching, and lifting of heavily soiled linens but in controlled amounts or with assistance.
- Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
- Understanding of washer and dryer operations and some knowledge of chemicals used in process preferred.
- Strong organization, planning, time management, and multi-tasking skills
