Step into the heart of the action and make a real difference by serving our diverse community of customers at Food Basics As a **Front-End Clerk**, you will be the face of our brand, sharing your enthusiasm for food and exceptional service with everyone who walks through our doors.

Our **front-end** team is essential to the success of Food Basics, and we are looking for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and helping others. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about making a positive impact, we want you on our team

**What you'll do**:

- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Scan items efficiently and with accuracy
- Process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards)
- Process returns
- Provide receipts and any necessary change
- Offer assistance with loyalty programs or coupons
- Assist team members with put away items
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized
- Assists with other duties as assigned by Management

**Qualifications**:

- Customer service driven
- Strong communication skills
- Retail experience is considered an asset
- High attention to detail and basic level of numeracy skills
- Basics computer and register skills is an asset
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays
