G&C Asphalt, a subsiduary of N.P.A., a division of Colas Western Canada Inc.is hiring for a Grader/ Trackhoe Operator for the 2025 construction season

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary.
- Operate Grader controls to regulate height and angle of the Grader blade and lower scarifier to loosen packed soil to permit grading.
- Ensure a solid understanding of ground disturbance practices and issues involved.
- Navigate equipment through working area, observing reference stakes or hand signals of workers.
- Operate equipment on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings.
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
- Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics.
- Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
- Other labour and operation related duties as required.

**Qualifications | Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Class 5 driver's license required
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the road construction industry
- Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience operating equipment is required

**Working Conditions**:

- Weather dependent schedule of Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50LBs on a regular basis.
- User of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
