**POSITION**: Assistant Store Manager / Aurora Retail Store

**DEPARTMENT**: Retail Stores

**REPORTS TO**: District Retail Manager

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES**:
Under the supervision of the District Retail Manager, this position is responsible for selling DGN uniform products and services (including orders), assisting customers with their product needs, and managing all store sales staff. They are responsible for meeting and exceeding the store daily goals (orders in 48 hour turnaround), as well as sales and customer service goals. They will perform related work as required.

**TASK MANAGEMENT**:

- **CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES**:

- Fulfills all online orders, and maintains strong knowledge of backordered products.
- Assists and leads team to meet and exceeds all store sales targets.
- Provides excellent customer service, engaging the customer through conversation to assist needs.
- Sell additional items and services that the customer may not have anticipated they needed (Hem tape, tights, socks, backpacks)
- Work with Store Manager to ensure all staff are trained according to company sales program, and refresh staff on a daily basis.
- **STORE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES**:

- Ensure that all store opening and store closing duties are performed.
- Handle and process all returns and complaints graciously and effectively.
- Accurately handle all register transactions. Any errors to be reported to Store Manager or Head Office.
- Ensure the store is neat, clean and organized upon store open, and throughout each business day.
- Assists Store Manager to complete all Store Scheduling, including stores with Tuck Trucks and Tuck Shops (includes liaise with Account Manager on TT schedules). Monitors and schedules staff for Grade 8 event nights when scheduled.
- Daily kickoff team meetings completed each morning.
- Work with Store Manager to monitor and maintain payroll hours.
- Assists with Weekly Recaps are completed and sent to District Manager on Tuesday’s for feedback purposes.
- Complete all administration duties - checking TEAMS or any other administrative tasks that are requested by Head Office.
- Adhering and upholding all store DGN cleanliness standards.
- **RECRUITING, HIRING, AND TRAINING**:

- First round interviews for all part time staff.
- Train all staff according to DGN Employee Handbook, and utilize any additional training products sent out from Head Office.
- Actively participate in all programs, events, and procedures that drive sales (additional hours may be required).
- Attend all Head Office training sessions.
- **STORE SHIPMENTS, MERCHANDISING, AND LOSS PREVENTION**:

- Receive and display all new shipments within 24 hours of delivery.
- Ensure all orders are up to date, and backorders are organized.
- All products must be displayed according to the Merchandising section in the Employee Handbook.
- Know where products are located in the store, and keep all backrooms clean and organized.
- Work with all team members to ensure that all Loss Prevention procedures are in place and in practice.
- Use company literature and available training resources to stay up to date on products and product features.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, & stand for long periods of time.
- Ensure time & materials allocated to correct client docket.

**FOOD SAFETY**:

- Follow all ISO & SQF policies as relates to Quality and Food Safety.
- Always communicate Health & Safety and food safety rules to other staff, as applicable.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
(Skills/Education/

Experience)
- Responsible and highly motivated.
- General understanding of the principles of sales.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to manage a team.
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Proven track record in achieving sales quotas.
- Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for meeting customer needs.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends

**RETAIL HOURS**:
Tuesdays: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Wednesdays: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Thursday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Friday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Saturday: 11:00am - 5:00pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
