**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Shipping and Receiving:

- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange transportation and resolve shipping issues.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of materials and supplies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Manage inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory levels.

Coordination and Communication:

- Liaise with various departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to coordinate logistics activities.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders on shipment and inventory status.
- Address and resolve logistics-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipping and receiving logs, inventory reports, and transportation records.
- Generate and analyze reports to track key logistics metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics and transportation.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and implement best practices.
- Participate in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Material Handling:

- Identify, count, and handle materials and parts accurately for picking and movement.
- Verify part identification by reviewing paperwork and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare and inspect parts for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards and are properly packaged.
- Label and pack products accurately for storage or shipment.
- Operate a forklift to move materials, load/unload shipments, and support warehouse activities.
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the work area, including taking out trash and cardboard.

General Support:

- Provide support in receiving operations and assist in various tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required, including but not limited to archiving files and contributing to team projects.

**What You Bring to Ampco**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in logistics and transportation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with colleagues at all levels.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in repetitive work environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), barcoding software, and accounting/ERP systems is desirable.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs following WorkSafeBC recommended procedures.
- Forklift certificate preferred; training available if required.
