About:
The GAL Aerospace Group is a North American based ‘Super Sub-Tier’ supplier to the aerospace cabin interiors market. Divisions operate as Centers of Excellence providing aerospace design and engineering for commercial and business aircraft, narrow and wide body VVIP interiors, interior components such as cabinets and monuments, upholstery, light aero-structures; components using advanced composite materials; aerospace specific staffing and technical services; and specialized asset management. Certifications include AS9100, NADCAP and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Transport Canada Manufacturing Authority, with additional qualifications as an FAA Repair Station. GAL Aviation is an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) specialized in composite structures and sheet metal structures.  Operations include both serial production for program work and VIP custom projects.

Primary markets served include Tier 1 level suppliers, aircraft completion centers, MRO’s with some direct OEM activities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Applies stains, dyes and paint to finish fabricated cabinetry sub-assemblies.
- Utilize acceptable materials for the paint or dye process which is suitable to the design specification.
- Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets the design spec, with a high level of quality and detail.
- Request material needs timely to ensure a continuous workflow.
- Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and personal protection equipment.
- Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

- High School Diploma, or GED. Trade schooling related to cabinetry or other relevant craftsmanship a plus.
- 6 years Cabinetry experience, preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment or 5 years of demonstrated experience working with faux finish.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Strong knowledge and expertise with all aspects of the cabinet finish process.
- Knowledge of the RSM and FAA requirements as it relates to the Cabinet Build, Finish or aircraft completions/modifications.
- Working knowledge of computers and related software utilized by Comlux.
- Working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
- Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
