Halifax, Canada Cosmetology Association of NS Full time

The Nova Scotia Cosmetology Association is the licensing and regulatory authority responsible for the regulation and supervision of all Cosmetologists, salons and spas, industry business owners, colleges offering cosmetology programs, and students pursuing education in cosmetology in Nova Scotia.

The Association is looking for a part-time, temporary Front End Reception clerk to assist with administrative office duties. This position carries the possibility of extension.

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage multi-line phone systems, handle incoming calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office 365
- Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and paper-based
- Support administrative functions such as entering and updating member information and documents, mailing, archiving files, and maintaining a list of office supplies for reordering
- Monitor classrooms for exam preparation and facility rental
- Handle customer support inquiries with professionalism and effective phone etiquette
- Assist with billing, and processing annual licence and permit renewals
- Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution
- Support office staff with other administrative tasks

**Experience**
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and document management
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $15.70-$23.38 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
