We have an exciting EA opportunity available immediately at King City Co-Operative Nursery School (KCNS), located in the heart of King City.

If the idea of working in a small and intimate community with children aged 2 - 4 sounds like a refreshing change compared to large and loud daycare centres, then this might be the position for YOU.

A co-operative school is a parent-governed, licensed childcare centre. KCNS operates four days a week for children ages 2 - 4 years, from 9:00am - 1:00pm and we follow the York Region Public School year calendar. KCNS, through staff and the active involvement of parents, provides a safe and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop their cognitive, social, emotional and creative capacities through play.

**Responsibilities**:

- To ensure operational and curriculum requirements are met in compliance with all Ministry and organizational guidelines.
- To effectively collaborate and communicate with other employees, families, and outside agencies in an effort to properly support the needs of individual children.

**Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team player
- Good oral communication skills
- Basic organizational skills, record keeping skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
- Ability to present a positive attitude and work ethic

**Experience**:

- Knowledge in CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT and Think, Feel & Act lessons (preferred)
- Working in a toddler/preschool environment (preferred)

**Requirements**:

- CPR-C and First Aid
- Vulnerable Screening
- Up to date immunization including TB and Covid-19 vaccination.
