Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Environment, Health & Safety must be a priority.
- Support and initiate safe work practices, following all i3 Energy Canada policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to co-workers and contractors, and able to act as a delegate for the Production Foreman.
- Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of producing wells, test facilities and plant facilities.
- Participate and follow compliance initiatives including the MOC process, Pipeline Operating and Maintenance Manual and the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Program.
- Ensure operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner.
- Identify deficiencies and recommend corrections to existing procedures to ensure the assigned field meets performance standards.
- Contribute to meeting business, environmental and health and safety targets.
- Assist as required with new well startups and new pad commissioning.
- Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
- Assist in field optimization and consolidation projects including reactivating wells, facilities and pipelines.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 10+ years of oil and gas operating experience.
- Experience with gas lift, ESP, insert pumps, plunger systems, sweetening skids, gas compression and refrigeration plants is required.
- Experience with implementing and managing area consolidation and reactivation projects would be considered an asset.
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have all applicable safety tickets.
- Possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in an unsupervised work environment. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing work environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills (proficient in MS Office Suite).
- Will be required to work a 5&2 shift. Must be willing to be on call and work extra hours when required.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license - drivers abstract is required.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:

- Drayton Valley, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:

- refrigeration plant: 10 years (preferred)
- gas compression: 10 years (preferred)
- oil battery: 10 years (preferred)
