**What will you do?**
You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations, coordination, and direction of all aspects of the production process, including purchasing activities and people management. You will execute all operational initiatives, monitoring of results and suggesting improvement, while maintaining strong employee relations and achieving organizational goals and financial targets. In addition, this role will partner with the quality team to ensure the company is in compliance with all industry related regulations, while playing a key role in the ideation, innovation, development and testing of new and existing food products
**Here’s a “snapshot” of your day.**
After you start your day off with a fresh cup of coffee, it will be your responsibility to:
- Lead and manage the Kitchen Production Team by maintaining a workforce schedule that maximizes productivity to fulfill daily orders.
- Set clear team expectations that are aligned with the company’s goals and vision and hold others accountable to meet and/or exceeding these expectations.
- Hire, promote and develop the team to contribute to the success of the company.
- Make sure recipes are followed accurately, implementing procedures for effective waste and management controls.
- Maintain healthy, safe, and hygienic work practices by implementing of all policies and procedures
- Schedule routine maintenance of equipment to ensure the efficient use and mínimal downtime.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Team to enforce strict adherence to quality control protocols and standards that support internal quality systems and compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and Health and Safety procedures.
- Successfully implement new, fresh, and innovative products by working closely with the team to develop and test new recipes.
- Develop and execute a purchasing strategy that is aligned with business goals and vision.
- Monitor and forecast demand levels to maintain an adequate amount of product/ingredient levels by monitoring inventory levels on a regular basis and order products/ingredients when needed.
- Maintain a list of preferred vendors and suppliers, negotiate existing and new contracts with vendors that are cost-effective to the business.
- Ensure purchases are received accurately and in a timely manner by maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchasing records.

**To be a great leader in this role, you have.**
- A post-secondary education in a related experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a leader within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and hands-on management experience.
- Experience with and committed to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Knowledge and experience with HACCAP programs and CFIA regulations and working knowledge of the Ontario Health & Safety Act.
- Strong attention to detail with the proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated to help others, knowing your work makes a difference.
- A proven team player that believes all team members contributes to the success of our Company.
- Enjoy building relationship by using your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
