**Position Title: Inventory Technician (12-Month Term)**

**Team and Location: Shared Services - Edmonton, AB**

**Position Summary**:
The Inventory Technician will process the inventory transactions of the branch operations and cardlocks to ensure daily transactions are complete while ensuring proper policies and procedures are being followed. They will be responsible for the accuracy of the transactions as well as reporting any errors in driver paperwork to the Inventory Analyst for follow up with operations management.

This person will support the success of the Inventory team by helping to champion and drive long-term vision of Parkland Shared Services. They will help foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business process and services are welcomed and recognized. The Inventory Technician will participate in programs and in using tools in support of building a high-performance culture via the standard Parkland Shared Services (i.e., performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process daily branch inventory transactions based on AWE truck technology reporting, information provided from electronic dipping systems as well as manual dips/counts/purchases from operations.
- Ensure all daily paperwork is received from operations in the timeframe set out in the SLA with operations.
- Maintains an up to date standard operating procedure and understanding of internal controls as they relate to fuel inventory.
- Escalate any driver or system issues identified while processing inventory transactions to the Inventory Analyst or Supervisor.
- Liaises with Inventory Analyst, Fuel Order Processing, branch operations and business finance to resolve any inventory issues identified while processing their daily transactions.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Good communication and problem solving skills.
- A critical thinker who can add value in a fast paced, fast-growing organization.
- Microsoft Office Excel experience.
- Knowledge of fuel products is an asset.
- JD Edwards experience is an asset.
