Overview

Shek Interiors is looking to expand our team and hire on a Jr. Estimator. Fulfilling this role, you will be reporting to the Presidents. As the Jr. Estimator, you will be required to handle preparation of estimates and job budgets to enable the efficient construction of new buildings ranging from schools, civil buildings, multifamily and commercial projects.

Daily responsibilities:

- Completing and/or reviewing project take-offs and estimating job budgets to ensure accuracy and completeness. Estimating material and labor costs and identifying costs savings opportunities wherever possible.
- Maintaining a list of suppliers and trades while encouraging effective relationships. Solicit and review quotes and remaining up to date on price and options.
- Coordinating with the onsite construction team on project changes.
- Monitoring project budgets throughout the project build cycle. Analyzing costs, and preparing regular cost-to-complete reports to identify variances.
- Prepare preliminary estimates as needed.
- Prepare and tender projects.
- Estimate materials and labor required from drawings.

Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of estimating related experience in residential and / or commercial construction industry.

Comfortable using office equipment and software, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) Must be able to produce and use Excel Spreadsheets.

Education in Architectural Technologies or Building Development Technologies is beneficial.

Must be willing to travel to multiple sites as we work in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
