**The Opportunity**:
**_ Scope of the Position _**

RSL is seeking to identify a Learning and Development Coordinator who is a vital member of the People and Culture team and provides technical support for leading and organizing the learning and development initiatives that lead to high individual and organizational performance and a high culture of engagement. Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the incumbent will take over this role during an exciting time of transformation. This role will be based out of RSL’s head office in Burnaby, BC.

**_ What you would be doing._**
- Organize, maintain, and update training content on RSL’s LMS by coordinating with the Director of People and Culture.
- Support training sessions for New Hire Training and ongoing development initiatives.
- Maintain a corporate training calendar, schedule sessions, and market available employee training opportunities.
- Respond to requests for training, evaluate resources, and recommend the most suitable options.
- Assess the effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills.
- Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
- Organize, develop, and source training content/programs to meet specific training needs and address identified skills gaps.
- Coordinate and schedule training-related events.
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
- Manage in-person and web-based training sessions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee learning experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.

**Learning Management System (LMS)**
- Manage the online learning platform (UKG). Have process management, platform usability and enhancement ownership.
- Train and assist users of the LMS, acting as the primary point of contact for the LMS
- Manage the programming of online modules and learning artifacts using the LMS and media authoring tools for e-learning
- Manage tools and systems to support accurate and up-to-date tracking of training records, certifications, test results, etc.
- In partnership with technical SMEs, conduct training needs analysis, design programs, and host them all on the LMS.
- Maximize the effective use of all aspects of LMS functionality
- Leverage change management methodologies to ensure LMS adoption

**_What we are looking for._**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Experience in leading training and development initiatives (preferably in a complex operational and sales environment) would be great.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, learning platforms and instructional design.
- Knowledge and experience to assess and identify the best training formats to be used (e-learning, live virtual-led training, face-to-face training, etc.).
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, planning, time management, attention to detail, and decision-making.
- General knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, e-learning tool development, and delivery/facilitation of training and needs for training assessment
- Excellent ability to work with all levels of staff and management
