**VeriForm** is viewed as a leader in metal fabrication of complex parts and assemblies. This includes comprehensive design, build and assembly while working very closely with clients. It is the first division to do hand held quality control laser scanning for inspection, replacing CMM systems. And where laser welding is replacing TIG welding, creating faster, cooler welds without distortion and much smaller HAZ.

**JOB POSITION: Brake Press Operator**

Set up and operate metal working machines to shape and form steel or other heavy metal products into parts and products. Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. May select and transport material to work area using a tow motor.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Review work orders for specifications and prepare / set up brake press machine
- Calculate bend allowances of steel (including stainless steel) and aluminum
- Blueprint reading and understanding drawings
- Select tooling and sequence multiple bends
- Load and unload machines
- Measure and verify parts after bending
- Work with precision measuring tool, such as calipers, tape measure and/or height gauge
- Perform minor maintenance in work area in accordance with company standards and manufacturers machine recommendations
- Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.

Assist in other duties when required

**Key Qualification/Requirements**:(Educational Requirements, equip requirements, software skills or programs)
- Brake Press experience in metal fabrication shop
- Basic computer skills
- Must be detailed oriented with high standards in quality
- High attention to dimensions detail

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- Brake Press machine: 2 years (preferred)
- manufacturing or fabrication industry: 1 year (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Cambridge, ON (required)
