Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness. We provide support to young people age 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma; including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. **The Impact the Coordinator, Special Events can make**:
As the Coordinator, Special Events you will support the Development Officer, Special Events with the administration, participant communication, and event coordination behind Covenant House Vancouver’s signature Sleep Out events.

You will be responsible for the administration of Raiser’s Edge (CRM database software) and TeamRaiser (online peer-to-peer fundraising platform), and communication with event participants and donors to support their fundraising efforts. You will also assist with the implementation of identified strategies for event logistics, guest experience, volunteer management, budget tracking, vendor coordination, post-event evaluation, and participant and donor stewardship.

**How you will contribute**:

- Provide administrative support for the Special Events team by
- Administrating Luminate TeamRaiser including event pages, participant registration, participant fundraising pages, gift entry, and reporting
- Administrating Raisers Edge including tracking actions, proposals, queries and relationships
- Assist with prospecting, financial tracking, critical path management and stewardship
- Support Development Officers with administrative duties as needed
- Work closely with the donations Processing team to ensure timely gift entry, processing, and tax receipting
- Respond to donor inquiries regarding event donation and tax receipts
- Communicate with high-level stakeholders
- Correspond with event participants to answer their questions regarding TeamRaiser fundraising pages and event logistics
- Support Sleep Out participants with peer-to-peer fundraising materials as needed
- Attend Sleep Out Executive Committee meetings and prepare detailed minutes including future actions
- Support the events team to successfully execute the Sleep Out events including the execution of each event’s critical workflow from conception to completion by
- Working closely with Facilities and Food Services to plan set up and food service
- Supporting day of coordination
- Leading staff on the night of Sleep out and ensuring the event runs smoothly, efficiently and generates maximum revenue

**Who are we looking for?**:
**Education and Experience**:

- College Diploma or Degree
- One or more years of related experience in events, fundraising or administration
- Experienced using Raiser’s Edge and Luminate TeamRaiser is an asset

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
- Thrives in a team environment
