ERP Application Support-maternity Leave Contract

**Position Summary**:
Graybar Canada Limited currently seeks an **ERP Application Support** person to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is a national position based in our Corporate Head Office.

The role of the ERP Application Support position is to handle research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. You will play a key part in new software and system implementations and support the user base in the adoption of new technologies.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Act as first point of contact for most IT related inquires, perform user setups, grant access to business systems, and other related ERP activities
- Develops a deep understanding of overall end-to-end business process and supporting business systems for the entities
- Assist in interfaces with the ERP and external third-party programs
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in difficult situations
- Develop and maintain technical documentation relative to best practices, standard procedures, knowledgebases, checklists and so on
- Excellent time management skills to effectively balance and manage resolution of all issues within accepted service levels
- Collaborate extensively with peers and management to resolve issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network that improves the effectiveness of our team and the information available to our employees
- Research and resolve issues related to software and hardware solutions
- Communicate with employees or vendors, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help resolve issues
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate) and maintain project status using of project management software
- Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Can show either 2+ years’ experience and/or have post-secondary education in a recognized IT program
- Thorough understanding of typical business requirements in areas such as Purchasing, Inventory, Sales, Warehousing, etc.
- Experience with dashboard programming/query languages
- Comfortable providing in-person or web-conference training/instruction
- Enthusiasm for continual learning with a passion for learning new technology
- Dedicated and punctual
- Strong communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Highly self-motivated and detail oriented
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Bilingual: French and English is an asset
