**About this role**:
**As a Funeral Director Assistant at Eventide Funeral Home located in Red Deer, Alberta**you will have the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service to the families we serve by providing support to Funeral Directors in all aspects of funeral services, including: greeting and assisting families upon their arrival at the funeral home and driving funeral vehicles when required.

**Job Type**:Part Time, Casual**
**Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities**:
- Passion for customer care, demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
- Exemplifies Arbor’s values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greeting and assisting families upon their arrival at the funeral home.
- Assisting with removals, transfers of decedent to the funeral home or crematorium as required.
- Assisting with the preparation of various rooms, during visitations, various rituals, funeral services, burials and any other related tasks.
- Driving funeral vehicles when required by the funeral home.
- Performing general building upkeep and ensuring the proper maintenance of funeral service vehicles including washing, interior care, cleaning, polishing, general vehicle maintenance including scheduling and service care plans.
- Other duties or special projects as required.
