**Manual Shop Machinist**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Must independently manage and optimize all aspects of a small machine shop, ensuring quality and timely production
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, drill press, grinders etc.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine specifications and dimensions of parts
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and maintain quality standards
- Design and build fixtures, jigs, and custom parts for our onsite machining jobs
- Complete routine maintenance on our portable machining equipment to ensure optimal performance

**Qualifications**
- A journeyman machinist, with 3+ years of manual machining experience
- Working knowledge of shop or industrial parts and equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and must be able to listen to instructions carefully
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 100lbs for extended periods of time
- Previous Forklift and Overhead Crane experience
- Self motivated and able to work alone

Training in supplemental safety courses such as CSTS2020, CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, WHMIS, etc., is considered an added benefit.

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $26.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
