**About the job**: In this role, you will:

- coordinate, schedule, plan, oversee and manage electrical services in the general upkeep, installation and renovation of electrical services for electrical and electronic systems
- provide electrical and electronics related input/advice, oversee multi-year electrical services contracts related to design, construction, maintenance and operations activities
- ensure regular maintenance of electrical and electronic devices, ensuring that all work is completed according to contract documents and specifications
- perform emergency repairs as required

**What you bring to the team**:
**Mandatory requirements**:

- You are a certified Maintenance/Construction Electrician (309A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) under the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act.

**Electrical expertise**:

- You have knowledge of practices, procedures, specifications and standards related to the inspection/maintenance, installation and repair of electrical/electronic/navigational devices and their support structures.
- You have knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures.
- You have knowledge of complex electrical systems and ability to create, read and review wiring diagrams and schematics.

**Technical knowledge**:

- You have experience with contract administration, including administrative procedures, reporting requirements and documentation.
- You can prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed work.
- You are able to administer contract terms, and make recommendations with respect to contractor payment certificates.

**Communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills**:

- You have effective communication skills to provide technical advice and recommendations.
- You have well developed written skills to prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed work.
- You have strong negotiation skills to deal effectively with contractors and consultants.
- You are able to deal effectively with ministry contacts and the public.
