You’re ready to take on the challenge of leading the procurement services and processes of large-scale energy infrastructure projects. Your razor-sharp attention to detail and tactical decision-making enables you to lead project processes effectively, and you know how to engage your team and colleagues to leverage your collective skills and achieve the best results. With your extensive experience and skillset, you’ll excel as our Procurement Supervisor, Major Projects.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating procurement practices and overseeing the provision of procurement services related to Major Projects. In this role, you will:
Provide process and quality oversight to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, industry standards, applicable metrics, and service-level agreements.
Optimize resources and allocate, prioritize, and distribute workload to meet organizational demands and service level commitments with tight deadlines across multiple Major Projects.
Participate in the design and implementation of procurement strategies for Major Projects with consideration of existing sustainment procurement practices, governance, and opportunities for alignment and leveraged value.
Contribute to selecting, orientating, and training new employees, and provide coaching to support performance, quality of work, and ongoing training and development of staff.
Assist with the development and execution of annual objectives, deliverables, and work plans related to procurement processes in support of Major Projects.
Manage operating budget as assigned, and provide budgetary information, as well as information on lead times and costs to Major Projects. What it takes:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution, plus a minimum of four years of recent, related experience in a leadership capacity. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Supply Chain Management Professional designation and experience in large-scale projects and project delivery models would be an asset.
Outstanding strategic-thinking skills to drive efficient delivery of resources and execution of projects.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and sound judgment to manage complex procurement strategies.
Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate cross-functionally and ensure the success of large-scale projects.
