**_ Position Summary_**

The Clinical Counsellor provides group and individual psychotherapy, therapeutic interventions, psychological assessments and reports. Completes treatment plans for residents following clinically sound assessment procedures; including psychometric assessments, using standardized instruments to determine mental health, stage of addiction and recovery, and to evaluate any further referrals, interventions or needs on a case by case basis.

**Position
- **Part Time (16 hours per week)

**Wage-** 34.34-40.05 per hour.

For positions of 24 hours or more per week we offer Health & Wellness benefits after a 3 month probationary period. In addition, positions that are 35 + hours per week are contributors to the Municipal Pension Plan.

Qualifications_**
- Education and experience_
- Masters degree in psychology, social work, counselling or related field.
- Minimum five years experience working in addiction and mental health.
- A minimum of two years delivering psychotherapeutic counselling to individuals and groups at a recognized institution.
- Registration with professional association.
- Job skills and abilities_
- Excellent oral, written, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership and supervisory skills.
- Good time and general management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with program staff, volunteers, and non-profit and government groups, agencies and organizations.
- Other Requirements_
- Criminal Record Search in accordance with agency policy
- Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Valid BC driver’s license and use of reliable vehicle
