At London Bridge, we view our Cooks as strong contributors to children’s learning that play an important role in the centre
community. This is a unique centralized cooking position that prepares meals for our Rowntree, Adelaide and London Day
would work on a team of two Cooks to prepare and deliver quality, nutritious snacks and lunch for up to 244 children. This
includes the daily cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen and ensuring food inventory levels by ordering for the three sites
from suppliers while maintaining a pre-approved budget. The Centre Cooks are responsible for transporting meals back
and forth from the kitchen to outside of the classroom. This position requires an individual to be flexible and take
initiative. The ability to partner with others is ideal. The individual working in the position will move equipment weighing
up to 50 pounds, remain in a stationary position during the shift, and move at a pace that meets established timelines.

About You
You have a passion for cooking as well as believe that children are competent, capable, natural explorers of their world.
Not only do you have an interest in food, but look to build and partner with others within the Centre.
**You bring the following qualifications**:
- Enrolled or Diploma in post-secondary program related to in Culinary Management or Food and Nutrition preferred,
or other post-secondary education paired with experience
- Current Food Handlers Certificate is essential
- Knowledge and Canada’s Food Guide and nutritional needs of children
- Demonstrated awareness of food allergies; be flexible to the needs of the children and the centre
