**About the opportunity**
As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, and as the leader of the Sales Team, this position is responsible to oversee efficient and profitable planning, organization, direction and control of the New Vehicle Sales Department, including staffing, forecasting, attaining projected sales objectives and bottom-line results. Specifically:
- supervise, direct and lead in all aspects of the new vehicle sales operation
- implement all systems, scheduling and procedures in the new vehicle sales operation
- develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- plan and execute monthly and annual objectives for vehicle sales, gross profit and expense management
- with the general manager, prepare and manage the departmental budget
- forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives
- develop, implement and manage vehicle sales standard operating procedures, and systems for customer follow-up and communication
- work closely with sales consultants, coaching and improving performance relating to vehicle and product sales, including vehicle trade-in opportunities
- manage the customer relationship management system, ensuring that transactions are reporting and recorded accurately
- train, motivate and supervise accounting team members
- ensure profitability of the variable/sales operation
- establish department objectives and pursue them through planning, organizing, controlling and measuring performance
- provide leadership, guidance and feedback to help staff members strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
- develop and implement strategic plans for optimized sales
- maintain high profitability in all areas and keep all departmental expenses under strict control
- maintain high customer satisfaction at all times
- deliver on monthly and annual key performance indicators
- ensure the overall delivery and quality of offerings to customers
- positively represent the company at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanour
**About you.**
- Three (3) years proven experience as a Vehicle Sales Manager
- Proven track record of vehicle appraisal and acquisition
- Proven track record of target and gross profit achievement
- experience leading and supervising Team Members
- proficiency working with ERP systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office software (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
- strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
- proven ability to influence change and effectively lead projects
- ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
- ability to maintain internal controls
- strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
- ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
