As per the direction from Tikinagan’s Board of Directors and through Chiefs resolutions, in order to work in the true spirit of Tikinagan Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin Service Model, Tikinagan has been developing specialized services to equip our children with important life skills tools and to keep our children closer to home. The Life Skills Coordinator position will provide teaching and support for the youth to learn the traditional skills that our parents and elders were taught in an effort to preserve our First Nations culture and way of life. The Life Skills Coordinator will work as a front-line care team member to provide the planning, delivery, coordination, enhancement and management of culturally competent programming within group or individual settings, they will also coordinate working with the Program Elders. The Traditional Life Skills Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Direct Service Supervisor / ADSS of the unit.

- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience and practice of the traditional/life skills of the land.
- Must provide a Criminal Reference Check prior to employment.
- Be willing and able to travel outdoors.
- Basic skills in verbal and written communication, and personal time management.
- Successful applicant must provide proof of both COVID-19 Vaccinations

**Salary range for this position is $56,337 to $67,328 annually.**
